Those who like their music will have a chance to hear alt-rockers O.A.R. later this month, as well as Phillip Phillips, who won the eleventh season of American Idol.
Phillips is starting on a 25-city tour in which he co-headlines with O.A.R., and it kicks off in just a few weeks in Cincinnati.
O.A.R.'s live shows have sold out huge venues like Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks. The band recently finished a new album, titled ‘The Rockville LP’, which Vanguard Records plans to release June 10. The single ‘Peace’, from the new album, is already getting regular airplay stations across the country.
The band got together in 1996 and is comprised of vocalist Marc Roberge, Richard On, Benj Gershman, and Jerry DePizzo. O.A.R.'s tours have totaled up to millions of miles, and the group has released seven albums, which have given audiences such hit singles as ‘Heaven’, ‘Love and Memories’, and ‘Shattered’.
Phillips is enjoying equal success; his debut album ‘The World from the Side of the Moon’ sold more than a million Copies. The follow-up album, titled ‘Behind the Light’, gave fans ‘Raging Fire’. ‘Home’, which was off his first album, sold over four million copies.
O.A.R. and Phillip Phillips are slated to appear June 26 at 6.30 pm at Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center. Tickets are on sale now.
