Burger Week coming to Cincinnati

Cincinnati residents will soon enjoy a celebration of that all-American classic, the hamburger, when Burger Week encourages people to come out and enjoy the classic sandwich.

Chefs at restaurants throughout the city will prepare burgers the way they enjoy them, and make them available for customers for $5 each.

The event is a fundraiser for Childhood Food Solutions. Many children only receive hot food when they are in school, leaving more than 50,000 children in Cincinnati experiencing food insecurity during the warmer months. However, Childhood Food Solutions helps by subsidizing food for the children, focusing on summer, when hunger peaks.

Burger Week kicks off at Braxton Brewery, where participants can pick up the Official Burger Week Passport, as well as receiving their first Burger Week Stamp when they buy a Braxton beer. Samples of hamburgers from some of the participating restaurants will be served.

The party to get things rolling is slated for July 11, 2018 from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm. The actual Burger Week is July 16-22, during which time people are invited to order burgers at restaurants throughout the city, earning Burger Week Stamps when they do. People who eat at four or more restaurants during the week will have a chance to win an evening out with 25 friends. Further information is on the event website.

Events like this can be even more fun if organizers work with a banner printing company to create identical Banners to decorate all the participating establishments.
