Blues-rock guitar titan coming to Cincinnati

One of the greatest blues-rock guitarists in music is coming to Cincinnati.

Joe Bonamassa has been playing professionally since he was 12, when he was opening shows for legends like B.B. King. Bonamassa has had an long-running career, which began with his debut album, “A New Day Yesterday,” which dropped in 2000. It went on to hit the No. 9 spot on the Billboard Blues chart. From 2002 through 2006, three of Bonamassa’s studio albums made it to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Blues charts.

In 2009, Bonamassa achieved a lifelong dream by appearing in London’s Royal Albert Hall, where he and Eric Clapton played a duet. One of Bonamassa’s most notable collaborations was with Beth Hart, a composer and singer from Los Angeles. Bonamassa heard Hart when they were both performing in Europe, though on separate tours. After hearing Ike and Tina Turner on a Rolling Stones album, Bonamassa wanted to try pairing with a woman. He and Hart subsequently released four successful albums, including 2018’s “Black Coffee.”

A review:
“I wasn’t just standing there watching another guitar virtuoso . . . I was beholding a true artist who continues to prove he’s worth of etching his name in history alongside any other of the blues legends who preceded him.”

Joe Bonamassa will be at the Taft Theatre on March 2. Organizers of events like this will often work with poster printing services to promote them.
