Bluegrass star coming to bluegrass state

A true bluegrass fiddler is coming to Cincinnati for a special performance at the beginning of 2024.

Jason Carter is a native of Kentucky and was raised in a music-filled home. He began playing guitar when he was eight, and tried the mandolin several years later. He was 16 when he began playing the fiddle, after the first time he heard Del McCoury. He has now been playing the fiddle in the Del McCoury Band for decades, a group that has won more awards than any other group in the history of bluegrass. He will now be gracing the Woodward Theater in Cincinnati for what is only his second show in 2024.

Carter now has a sign dedicated to him on the Country Music Highway. He won the legendary honor for a lifetime of accomplishments, including touring worldwide, winning Grammys, and above all, his music. The sign is on U.S. 23 in Lloyd, Kentucky.

His awards include three Grammys, including one of “Best Bluegrass Album” in 2018, which was made with the Travelin’ McCourys, a group he helped found. He has won “Fiddle Player of the Year” International Bluegrass Music Association awards five times, and been featured by artists such as Asleep at the Wheel, Charlies Daniels, Dierks Bentley, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Earle, and many others on their albums.

Jason Carter will be at the Woodward Theater in Cincinnati on Thursday, January 11. When concerts like this are planned, organizers can use poster printing to create suitable advertising.
