One of the veterans of popular music will make a Cincinnati appearance in early 2021.
David Foster is bringing his “An Intimate Evening with David Foster - Hitman Tour” to the Queen City. Foster has been a successful force in the music business for 40 years. He began his career as a keyboardist in the 1970s with the group Skylark. He often wrote or co-wrote material for himself and others, or produced albums.
In 1979, he contributed to the “I Am” album released by Earth, Wind and Fire, backing the disco legends up as a studio player, and co-wrote six of the songs on the album. He was a co-writer of “After the Love Has Gone,” which won the Grammy in 1980 for Best R&B Song.
Throughout his career, he has worked with some of music's biggest stars, co-writing songs, producing albums, and collaborating with artists such as Chicago, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion. He has also written music for a number of films including “The Secret of My Success,” starring Michael J. Fox, and “Stealing Home,” with Mark Harmon and Jodie Foster. He has 16 Grammys to his credit.
Foster will appear at the Taft Theatre on January 20, 2021, with Katharine McPhee as his special guest. The event starts at 7.30 pm, with doors opening an hour earlier. Brochure printing can provide programs for special evenings like this.
