Summer concerts continue in Centerville

The fun of enjoying live music outdoors continues in Centerville, as the city’s Summer Concert Series rolls into July.

There are two concerts on the calendar, both tribute bands. First up is Creedence Revived, a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival. This group has played throughout the world for audiences of more than 30,000 people, and they sell out concerts wherever they appear. Creedence Revival comprises four of the best musicians from Chicago and Los Angeles. The current lineup is Rich Perez, known as “The Chameleon” for his ability to mimic any singer, is the front man, working with blues guitarist JD King, drummer Tony Montana, and bassist Graham Czach.

The second concert is by a Rolling Stones tribute band Jumping Jack Flash. The shows featuring this group are concert-theater productions presenting 50 years of material of the legendary Stones. Members of the tribute band enjoy bantering on stage and making numerous wardrobe changes, all of which recalls the free-wheeling fun of the “swinging 60’s.”

Jumping Jack Flash currently comprises Joey "Jagger" Infante in Mick Jagger’s role, Christian Hernandez taking on two roles in Ron Wood and Brian Jones, Young Hutchison as Keith Richards, John McCracken as Charlie Watts, and Matt Quilter as Bill Wyman. This band got its start in California, but has performed both nationally and internationally to great acclaim.

Creedence Revived appears July 7, and Jumping Jack Flash plays July 12. When events like this are scheduled, organizers will frequently use poster printing to advertise them.
