A popular Centerville restaurant is rebranding to more accurately reflect the food they serve, and to have a name that is easier to market, according to the owner.
The International Cafe & Delicatessen on Main Street is now Habibis Restaurant, and is owned by Muhammad Yusuf. According to Yusuf, “Habibi” means “my beloved” or “my love,” and he believes the shorter name will be easier to pronounce. It also reflects the warm environment he hopes to bring to his establishment.
The restaurant opened several months ago, and the feedback has been positive. The original concept was Yusuf’s father’s idea, based on his experiences traveling around the world and enjoying the coffee shop and tea culture he found in other countries. He wanted to bring that idea to Ohio.
The restaurant serves wraps, subs, and sandwiches along with shish kabobs, gyro platters, and baklava, a delicious middle eastern dessert. The restaurant also has Halal meat available, which means the meat is processed according to religious guidelines. At some point Yusuf wants to open another kitchen to offer more dishes on his menu.
In addition to the food, Habibis serves a large variety of teas, featuring herbal, green, and black teas. There are jalsa couches in several rooms, and diners can reserve the upstairs for special events, and delivery and carryout are available.
When an establishment rebrands its operation in this manner, it will want to redesign and reprint its Business Cards and other Stationery.
