The annual Christmas Under the Stars will take place in a few days in West Chester Township, a short distance from Centerville. The event is presented by the Faith Community United Methodist Church.
The drive-through event features an outdoor Live Nativity experience that takes the viewers back in time. The setting will be that of the first Christmas Under the Stars and incorporates the sights and sounds to stir emotions and thoughts. The presentation will consist of live animals, actors, and carolers to bring alive the imagination and spirit of the holiday.
Banners are often used to highlight entrances and exits for outdoor events. The banner printing can be done in any color and style desired and can contain grommets for easy hanging.
The organizers are asking that participants bring canned food times, which will be donated to the Faith Food Pantry to help individuals and families in the region.
Volunteers and items are needed to complete the setting for the nativity experience and in making the shops and buildings to be used within the scenes. Those wishing to assist can contact Mark Turner at mtrailfan58@yahoo.com.
