Centerville residents will have the opportunity to celebrate Black Friday with a band with wide-ranging influences.
Scythian is a Celtic rock group that integrates Americana influences. Founded in 2002, the band claims it was named after Ukrainian nomads.
The band, comprising four members of whom two are brothers, began as a group of street performers and within a few years was recognized as the “Best Local Band” in the DC area by the Washington City Band. They tour the East Coast regularly and will soon be at the Brightside Music & Event Venue in Dayton, a few miles from Centerville.

The Scythian concert offers various ticket options. VIP admission includes early entrance, reserved seating within the first three rows of seats, a special poster, a High-Five from the band at top tier level, and a meet and greet with the band prior to the show. General admission doors will open at 6:30 pm and the opening act, Arbo, will take the stage at 7:30 pm. Scythian will appear from 8:45 pm to 11:00 pm.
The event will take place on Friday, November 26. The Brightside Music and Event Venue is located at 905 East 3rd Street.
