Main Street Amherst is gearing up to present its annual Walkin' On Wednesdays beginning in mid-June.
Park Avenue will be active with local artists vendors while local farmers will be selling their fruit, vegetables and other homegrown goodies at the farmer's market stands. Many local non-profit organizations will be getting flyer printing done soon to pass out information about their missions, programs, times and locations.
Anyone interested in becoming an art or food vendor must submit a refundable $52 deposit fee at least two weeks before any of the four summer Walkin-On-Wednesday events.
Classic car and truck owners will be displaying their beauties from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm along Church Street with judging at 7:00 pm, and awards being presented around 7:30 pm each evening. Admission will be $10.75 per event and $26.50 for all four dates.
Local businesses may still become sponsors for this year's event. Bronze ($350) and Silver ($500) sponsors will receive recognition on the car show stage. The Gold ($1,000) and Platinum ($2000) level sponsors will receive their business name and Logo Design on all event printed materials, digital communications, and on the event's Facebook page.
The first 2024 Walkin' on Wednesday will take place June 12th in Downtown Amherst from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Others will be July 10th, August 14th and September 11th.
