Nord Center’s Mind over Miles 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk will take place in mid-August.
Lorain County community partners, Amherst businesses, walkers, and runners will come together to support the Nord Center’s treatment, advocacy, and prevention services which include housing and residential, sexual assault, crisis, adult behavioral health, and children’s behavioral health.
The course will be a loop up and back taking participants through the scenic Black River Reservation.
Pre-registration for the chip-timed 5K Run/Walk is $25, the untimed 1-Mile Walk will cost $20, and both will cost $30 on race day. Start time will be 9:00 am. Packet pickup and registration will begin at 7:30 am on race day.
Race and walk participants will receive T-Shirts featuring this year’s event graphic design, and refreshments will meet them at the finish line.
Awards will go to top female and male overall and to the top three female and male finishers in each of the 14 age categories.
Sponsorships are available at the $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000 levels and will include 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, and 10 race entries respectively, along with a logo link on the website, inclusion in email blasts, and Logo Design printed on the race T-Shirts.
The race will take place Sunday, August 13 on the Black River Reservation Bur Oak, 6150 Ford Road, Elyria.
