Four Halloween events are planned for the Amherst area in October.
Dressed in their witchy and warlock finery, everyone is invited to register for Witches Wednesday at Captain's Club from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Halloween guests will receive apples containing coupons from participating businesses that they may use as they drink, eat and shop their way around downtown.
Contestants will meet at Coles Public House at 8:00 pm and groups of ten will be taken to the 5 Points Tavern for judging beginning at 8:30 pm.
Witches Wednesday will be October 16th from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm in downtown Amherst.
Fresh Winds Church, 45155 Telegraph Road in Elyria, will be holding its annual free Fall Fest and Trucks and Treats on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event will feature a touch-a-truck, Trunk or Treat, fall-themed photo booths and food trucks.
Amherst Township will have its Trick-or-Treat event from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 27th.
At 2:00 pm, the City of Amherst will have a Halloween Costume Contest and Spook-tacular Stroll beginning at the parking lot at Amherst Utilities. The judging will take place between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Amherst Marching Comets will lead the parade to Town Hall and will give a concert while everyone enjoys donuts.
Towns often take Halloween event photos to local Print shops to be included in the town's visitor brochure printing.
