The Amherst Historical Society will be hosting its third annual Super Bowl LVIII Fundraiser on Super Bowl Sunday. Organizers hope to top last year’s attendance, which was a little over 100.
A game board will be set up and squares will cost $50 each. This fee also includes free admission. Attendees not buying squares may enter for $10.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Society’s projects, including maintaining a Sandstone Village military museum and construction of a sandstone patio gazebo.
The watch party will include tailgate food like chips and dips, card and board games, and viewing the game on the 10-foot screen. The venue is not equipped to sell anything but soda and water, but guests are welcome to bring their own other beverages.
The event will also have a basket raffle featuring football-related items, and a 50/50 raffle. Venues that hold events like this often take pictures of the game board winners to local Print shops to be enlarged. They can frame the enlarged pictures and display them on walls behind the bar or elsewhere.
Reservations are required and must be made by phone or e-mail (440-988-7255 or office@amhersthistoricalsociety.org) by Monday, February 5.
The Amherst Historical Society Super Bowl Fundraiser will be Sunday, February 11 beginning at 5:00 pm, at Sandstone Hall, 113 South Lake Street.
