Keller Williams Citywide Annual Red Day is coming. This is a day set aside to make a difference in others’ lives and better Amherst’s local communities.
This year, Keller Williams and The Good Knights of Loraine County are joining forces to provide needy Lorain County children with safe, comfortable, and complete beds. This Red Day will be a bed-building event with the Good Knights providing the raw materials.
Those interested in being part of this event can do so in three ways. Bed builders will assemble at 8:00 am, at the Good Knight’s Production Facility, 1935 Cooper Foster Drive, and after a light breakfast will begin assembling beds. Groups of eight to twelve can make around twenty beds in total. Crews will stop for lunch at noon. After lunch, the volunteers will break into two groups – one delivering the beds and the other continuing to build more. Operations should shut down around 3:00 pm.
Businesses and community associations often get crews organized for team-building opportunities like this. Some go so far as to get colorful T-Shirts made with the company’s Logo Design printed on the front.
Those wishing to donate items may drop off new teddy bears, comforters, pillows, and twin sheets at KW Citywide’s front desk until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10. Alternatively, they can bring them with them when they attend the bed building on May 11. Monetary donations are welcome too.
