The Amherst Historical Society has announced two events: a luncheon for its members, volunteers, and supporters in January and a Super Bowl Fundraiser in February.
Its annual potluck luncheon will be a pitch-in affair with the main dish being provided.
Attendees are asked to bring dishes based on their last names- soups and salads for those with last names beginning with A through E, casseroles or vegetable side dishes for those F through K, casseroles or starch side dishes for those L through R and dessert for the S through Z people. Reservations are required and need to be made before January 7th.
The Annual Potluck and Meeting will take place Saturday, January 11th from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.
A Super Bowl Fundraiser will offer football fans the chance to see the big game on its 10-foot screen while enjoying tailgate food, basket raffles and a 50/50. Water and pop will be available, but guests are invited to BYOB (bring your own beverage.) Admission will be $10 and Super Bowl squares will be available for $50 each.
The Super Bowl Fundraiser will be held Sunday, February 9th and doors will open at 5:00 pm.
The presentation will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 18th.
Supporters of historical societies often get a little flyer printing done for special events like these at local Print shops and place Flyers in their communities and workplaces.
Both of these events will take place at Amherst Historical Hall, 113 South Lake Street.
