Friends of the Amherst Public Library will be holding its Fall Book Sale for three days in early November.
The Books, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, and puzzles have been donated by Amherst locals and collected by the Friends of the Amherst Public Library. Proceeds from the semi-annual event will go to the Library's services, programs and community projects.
The Sandstone Authors Society will have a few local authors on hand meeting and greeting attendees and answering any questions.
The items will not be priced, and all credit and cash and donations will be welcome. It is suggested that hardback donations should be around $1, paperbacks 50ยข, and DVDs $1.
Those who have attended book sales over the years often donate the Books they have amassed and occasionally have flyer printing arranged, then place Flyers in their book club and literary association locations.
The non-profit Friends of the Amherst Public Library not only organizes book sales throughout the year, but sponsors other events to provide financial assistance and volunteer support to the Library.
Members may preview the items on Thursday, November 6 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Library's second floor Community Room, while the public may attend Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 from 10:00 am to 4:45 pm. The Library is located at 221 Spring Street.
