Amherst attends special car show

Many motoring enthusiasts will be flocking to the 3rd Annual Special Wish Car Show coming to Amherst this weekend.

Hosted by JDBNOW Amherst, the show will be open to the public, with 100% of the proceeds going to A Special Wish Foundation, this is a charitable non-profit organization that grants wishes to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Some of its programs are Big Wishes – granting children’s wishes, Sparkle of Joy – providing support system for families, When I Grow Up - a program where kids can experience their dream jobs for a day, and Food Drop – where restaurant food is brought to inpatient children at four Cleveland hospitals.

Registration will be $10, and will include car show trophies, dash plaques, and door prizes. All types if vehicles are welcome.

The event will be organized by FLP (Frank LaManna Presents), and the venue will have DJs Snack Shack, raffle baskets, food trucks including Babcia’s Kitchen (potato cheese pierogi, beef cabbage rolls, and kielbasa sausages), 50/50, and a dunk tank.

Local businesses and organizations will be donating baskets for the raffle. Businesses often donate Promotional Products that are printed with their graphic or Logo Design while organizations like to include Business Cards with their donations.

The 3rd Annual Special Wish Car Show will take place at JDBNOW Amherst, 7550 Leavitt Road, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm this Sunday, September 3.
