Motown tunes bring energy to Akron audiences
A Motown and R&B musical production is being planned for Akron audiences, with the performers set to take the stage next month.
Akron’s ReaL DeaL Old School and Motown concert is around the corner, providing a fun evening of nostalgic tunes and hits for local music enthusiasts. The performing group, which consists of James Ray, Garnett Jones, Cornelius Parson, and Vernon Palmer, will turn the venue into an upbeat cabaret for an old-school music experience.
The foursome has a history of singing gospel and R&B tunes in Akron and the surrounding areas, going back to their junior high school days. The group performs classic hits from Motown groups like The Temptations, Bobby Womack, Earth, Wind, & Fire, and other prominent groups from the genre’s golden era. Poster printing is essential when marketing such concerts while doubling as a cost-effective souvenir for local music fans.
Concession stands will provide food and beverages, but outside food and drinks will not be permitted in the concert venue. Wheelchair-accessible seats will also be available for a more accessible attendance experience. Interested parties can reserve VIP seating for an extra fee, with space for up to 23 people.
House Thirty Three will host the musical performance on Friday, December 20th, with the doors opening at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available online, with general admission starting at $30 per guest.
