Local leader to speak at Akron networking afternoon
The Women’s Network Leadership Institute of the Akron Chamber of Commerce is hosting a conversation and event with Suzie Graham Moore, the Director of Economic Development for Akron.
Dr. Jennifer Savitski, who is the Chair of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the PATH Center and Chair of the Women’s Network Leadership Institute, will lead the conversation. Dr. Savitski will lead a guided question-and-answer session where Moore will field a series of questions related to her experiences in working at the city of Akron, how she rose to her position of leadership, and what her experiences have been like thus far. Attendees will get a chance to ask questions of their own as well.
Chamber officials have noted that this is one of many similar events held by the Women’s Network Leadership Institute, which seeks to build access to strong female leaders and help women in the Akron area grow their business networks.
The event is on Tuesday, April 30 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Portage Country Club, 40 N. Portage Path, Akron. Tickets are $40 for members and $50 for non-members – prices that include drink tickets and free appetizers.
As always for any Chamber event, members will have an opportunity to meet fellow business leaders in the community and network, so they are encouraged to bring business cards.
