Greater Akron Chamber to host annual meeting

The Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce has announced their annual meeting. Officials from the Chamber are billing this event as one of the largest business events that will take place in Akron during 2024.

Chamber staff noted that this year's event will, as always, reflect on the accomplishments of the Chamber and the greater Akron business community. It will also look forward to future events and discuss the opportunities and challenges that the Akron area is expected to face during the year.

The program will start with a networking component, and attendees will no doubt want to bring business cards. From there, the event will move to the formal program and dinner. Richard Kramer - CEO of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company - will be awarded the H. Peter Burg Economic Development Award, and Kramer will offer brief remarks.

By popular demand, officials have said that there will be a plated dinner again, a change from the 2023 event, which did not feature such a dinner.

The event is taking place on Thursday, March 14, and will run from 4:15 - 7:30 pm. It is taking place at the John S Knight Center, which is located at 77 E Mill Street, in Akron, Ohio. Tickets are $115 for members and $150 for non-members. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are still available, and Chamber members should contact the Chamber for additional information.
