Exciting solar eclipse opportunity for Akron businesses
The Akron Chamber of Commerce has announced an upcoming event that is meant to serve local businesses with an opportunity to learn more about a very rare event - a 2024 solar eclipse.
According to local officials, an April 2024 eclipse will be upon us soon. Not all places are equally suited to see this eclipse, but Akron is. To that end, eclipse fans are expected to flock to the area, offering businesses the opportunity to take advantage of the sudden influx of eclipse tourists.
The event will host a panel discussion of local meteorologists, government officials and marketing experts. The trio will review what is expected to happen during the eclipse, how to prepare for it, and how many people may arrive in the Akron area. Businesses promoting themselves the right way may be able to see a boost to their business, provided they are aware of the eclipse and prepared to reap its benefits.
This event will be attended by business leaders from across the Akron area. Individuals who attend are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards and come prepared to expand their business networks.
The event will be held on Friday, February 9, and will run from 7:30am – 9:00am. It will take place at the Firestone Country Club, which is located at 452 E. Warner Road, in Akron. Tickets are $28 for members and $38 for non members. Breakfast will be served for all attendees.
