Akron museum mixes art and ale for fundraiser
The Akron Art Museum is expanding its Art & Ale event in what is now its 13th year. The 2020 showcase of local brews and food will now feature two tasting sessions.
The event features a variety of beers from Ohio's best breweries – coupled with delicious local food.
This year's expansion means beer lovers can attend one of two tasting sessions that happen on the same day. The first session takes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and the second from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There is a VIP option as well, with VIP ticket holders getting exclusive access to some of the top and most unique brews and an Art & Ale swag bag.
The end of each tasting session will see a jury choose what it thinks is the best beer, and attendees will also be able to vote for their favorite, with the winner receiving a People's Choice Award.
Art & Ale is presented by Acme Fresh Market, an Akron grocery store and media sponsored by Summit FM radio. Sponsors of events such as these can advertise their support with marketing such as banner printing.
The Akron Art Museum Art & Ale festival takes place Saturday March 28 at 1 South High Street. The museum will be closed to the public that day and only Art & Ale ticket holder 21 years of age or older will be allowed to enter.
