Akron Chamber to help members at leadership seminar
The Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce has announced it will be hosting a new event later this month.
Entitled “Authentic Leadership: Leading With Strength,” this event – sponsored by the Women’s Network Leadership – will help women find their individual strengths, grow as leaders, and become better people.
Specifically, the course will help attendees become more self-aware, leverage their existing strengths, and create action plans that will help them better obtain their professional and personal goals. Dr. Jennifer Savitski, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, will run the event.
Chamber officials say the event is meant for individuals looking to grow, or companies seeking to invest in their employees. As such, the Chamber is offering this course as professional development for employees.
As always with Akron Chamber events, there will be a heavy networking component. Attendees will repeatedly interact and discuss the content of the program, so they are advised to bring business cards and be prepared to gain new connections while they experience the conference.
This major conference is a two-day event. It starts on Tuesday, April 25, and runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The second day will be another Tuesday, May 9. It will be held at the Greater Akron Chamber at 388 S. Main Street, in Akron. Chamber members can buy a ticket for $599, while future members will pay $699.
