Recent presidents tenure under spotlight at museum

Though he is just six years out of office, the Hofstra University Museum in Hempstead, New York will be hosting an exhibition of works about the reign of George W. Bush, and many of the historically significant things that happened during his two terms in the White House.

The display titled ‘The George W. Bush Presidency: Points of Perspective’ and is unique to the museum.

The primary areas the exhibition will focus on are the Malaria and AIDS work carried out in Africa, Social Security Reform, the handling of Hurricane Katrina, the economic crisis in 2008, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the 2000 election, and of course the September 11 attacks. There will be documents, objects of interest, photographs, and pieces of art all related to these varying topics.

The promoters for the museum may choose to reach out to printing companies to create cost-effective advertising materials to promote the exhibition. Flyers and Posters distributed in nearby areas, like Valley Stream, are a way to ensure that people come out to see the work.

The exhibition will be showcased in the David Filderman Gallery of the museum. It will open on February 23rd and be on display until April 10. The museum hours are from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, and the exhibition is free to view.
