Deli in Valley Stream area receives award from state government

The New York State Empire Award was presented by Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick to Antonio’s Deli in Malverne.

This award honors the local business, which has been operating for many years, for its impact on the community, its contributions to the local economy, and its excellence. Residents of nearby Valley Stream who have not patronized this restaurant may want to consider doing so.

The award is the highest honor for small businesses that the New York State Senate can present and recognizes those businesses that are outstanding in the community.

Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick said that the deli is a gem of the community of Malverne. She added that it has been operating for close to 25 years and during this time has become a staple in the neighborhood. She continued to say that the deli very much deserves this award as it reflects how important it has become to those living in the area.

Antonio Bove and Vito Asaro, owners of Antonio’s Deli, expressed their appreciation at being honored with this award. They said that they are committed to maintaining the standards that are expected from the community and are always looking for ways to improve their offerings. They finished by saying:
“Together, we’ll continue building a space that reflects the heart of our community and serves you better every day.”

News of such awards is often spread throughout a town and neighboring communities with flyer printing.
