Weeklong festival celebrates the environment

The 3rd annual Greetopia Week festival is being held in Rochester next month, and is a presentation of the Friends of the Garden Aerial.

The event is divided into five different themes: design, music, film, futures summit, and Ecofest. Attendees will be able to take part in workshops, watch documentary films, enjoy musical performances, and purchase items from ecology-minded vendors. There will be art displays and live performances held at various venues in the High Falls area, along with fashion and photography shows.

Films will be shown at the Little Theatre, most of which are non-fiction. Each showing is preceded by entertainment and followed by a panel discussion. One of the musical acts confirmed to appear at this year's festival is the Ying Quartet.

Ecofest will feature a food truck expo, vendor booths, a world music stage, and a kids’ zone. Artisanal food and drink will be on display and available for sampling, for which tickets are available for purchase. There is also set to be a community art installation.

Organizers of this Rochester event will likely be contacting their local printing companies to prepare. This may involve ordering sign and banner printing services to help recognize those who have made it possible.
