The Fast and Furriest walk and festival is taking place next month in Rochester. It is a fundraiser for the Verona Street Animal Society and offers three different walks from which participants can choose.
The 5K has a registration fee of $20 in advance or $25 on the day, and the 10K costs $25 in advance or $30. The top male and top female finishers in each event will win store vouchers, as will the top male and female in each age group. The first 300 entrants will receive tech shirts and all children over 11 will receive a T-shirt. There is also a Dog Walk, for which fees are $25 for adults and $5 for children aged 10 and under. If they choose, participants can also raise additional pledges.
After the walks are finished, there will be plenty of activities for the public and their pets, such as pet contests, musical entertainment, giveaways, and pet-related vendors. There will be free rabies and distemper-pervo vaccinations, as well as free microchipping and discounted pet adoptions. Food trucks and carts will be on hand too.
Rochester printing companies are often asked to provide items such as pledge Forms or printed T-Shirts for events such as this.
