Upcoming event will have people watching the skies
The Rochester International Airshow is taking place this May for two days.
There is set to be a kick-off concert the day before the show. It will feature Big Eyed Phish, the Benny Havens Band and a night pyrobatics show with Otto the Helicopter, Jerry "Jive" Kerby, Bill Leff and The Raiders.
The show will feature some of the best-known flying stars such as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Rob Holland. There will also be flyovers by a Canadian Forces CF-18 Whiskey 7 and the Jet Aircraft Museum Mako Shark. All in all, there will be 12 separate performances. In addition to performances in the air, there will be static displays of a C-45, CH-42 Chinook, Mercy Flight Central and 12 other aircraft.
Guests can bring blankets and lawn chairs or purchase preferred seating.
This Rochester event will probably attract people from all over the area. To advertise it, organizers may be working with local poster printing companies to produce a poster that can be distributed in the community.
