Rochester workshop to provide early parenting tips
Being a new mom or dad can sometimes be a challenging time, and those who take part in a class that will be on offer in Rochester will be able to gain confidence in their parenting skills.
Highland Hospital will be the location for the Infant Care and Safety Class, and it will include a CPR instruction component. A variety of topics will be discussed, and the parents, grandparents, and others who participate are encouraged to ask any questions they might have.
The syllabus for the three-hour long course includes how to prepare for the baby’s arrival, care tips for a newborn, and what to expect during an infant’s first year of life. There will be CPR manikins to practice the CPR skills that will be taught, and while the format will follow that used by the American Heart Association for its infant CPR, it will not provide the students with certification.
The registration fee for the occasion has been set at $55 each, and this will cover the cost of materials provided as well as the parking fee and refreshments. Local stationery printers can supply handouts, manuals, and other items for an event like this.
This opportunity to learn how to best care for a baby will be held on the evening of July 18. It will be taking place at 1000 South Avenue in Rochester.
