Rochester workshop to cover cat grooming

While many may already be familiar with dog grooming, they may not know that cats can also benefit from the practice, and a feline-focused event is on the way to Rochester.

Whether they are a professional groomer or just want to find out how they can give Fluffy some extra love, the Don't Be a Scaredy Cat grooming workshop will have lots to offer. It will be facilitated by two Master Cat Groomers, and the registration fee is $199.

The topics on the agenda for the day will be specifically focused on cats, and will include the business side of the equation. The discussion will review grooming tools and tricks, as well as feline safety and how to assess a cat before beginning grooming. There will be live cats on hand for demonstrations, and the ins and outs of setting up a successful cat salon will also be reviewed.

Participating in continuing education activities gives professionals in a field a way to enhance their skillset. Learning materials for such an event can be prepared by Stationery printers that offer comb binding and other ways to create handouts.

This introduction to the art of cat grooming will be held on Sunday, July 23 at the New York Academy of Pet Styling in Vancouver. It will run from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.
