Rochester to host first Record Store Crawl
Music on vinyl is becoming more and more popular and, during a Rochester event, “vinylphiles” will be offered a special opportunity to have fun while adding new pieces to their collections.
This will be the city’s first ever Record Store Crawl. As with the more traditional pub crawl, participants will go from store to store, browsing through the music. A bus has been hired to drive the crawlers, and as they travel, they will be kept entertained by two members of Four by Fate.
The different stops along the way will each have special offers for those taking part in the crawl. Some will have food specials and open bars, while others will be offering bottomless beer, giveaways of signed vinyl and other gifts, bags of swag, slipmats, t-shirts, special discounts, and much more. A printer will be able to work with each of the establishments that take part in an event such as this to provide them with branded promotional products to give away to the guests.
This celebration of retro style records has been planned for those who are age 21 and over, and everyone who will be participating in the crawl will need to have a valid ID that shows proof of age.
The Record Store Crawl has been planned for Rochester on June 24th. The Record Archive has been selected as the gathering point for those who will be taking part in the day, and more details can be found on the Visit Rochester website.
