Rochester to enjoy Liberty Pole light up

Rochester has lots of family friendly-fun in store for the holiday season, and everyone in the community is on the guestlist.

The city will be getting this festive time of year off to an exciting start when it lights up its Liberty Pole, followed by a holiday parade. The festiveness will begin in Liberty Pole Plaza, and the community members will the make their way to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park.

The switch on the pole’s decor will be thrown in the early evening, and there will be local dignitaries, music performed by a brass band and a visit from Santa himself. After this, the Family Lantern Parade will begin, and once it reaches the ROC Holiday Village, there will be free crafts, ice skating, food and beverages, visits with the Big Guy in Red and a chance to show some love to local small businesses in the pop-up market.

Organizing holiday events for the public is one of the tasks often taken on by community service organizations. A banner printing company will be happy to work closely with planners to ensure they have the materials they require while still keeping on budget.

Rochester will be welcoming one and all for its Liberty Pole light up and holiday party at ROC Holiday Village next Saturday, December 7. The festivities will begin at 5:00 pm.
