Rochester puts trivia celebration on the board

The exhibition ‘Trivial Pursuit: a 50-state Adventure’ is opening at the Strong Museum in Rochester this February.

The exhibit, which was created by the Betty Brinn Children's Museum in association with Hasbro, Inc., will teach visitors about historical sites, tourist hot spots, and natural wonders.

This will be achieved through hands-on activities, puzzles, and games inspired by Trivial Pursuit. Visitors can play a pinball-style baseball game, watch the Times Square ball fall, climb inside a lighthouse to warn passing ships, dress like a pioneer and even guide a dog sled in the Iditarod. There will also be Rochester-themed trivia, paper crafts, learning stations, and an interactive map on which children can label where they have been, or recognize the states that they have just learned about. The museum will be hosting special events on the opening weekend and during school break week in February.

To advertise this unique exhibit, organizers might invest in flyer printing services from Rochester companies. Flyers can then be posted in community centers and other public buildings to drum up support.
