Those who attend an upcoming Rochester performance should be prepared for lots of laughs when they take their seat for some holiday-themed theater.
The OFC Creations Theatre Centre will be bringing The Golden Girls back, but instead of the small screen, they will take to the stage. The show can be watched in person or online, and is being produced by the same team that created The Golden Girls Musical.
The play will take inspiration from Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol,” adapting the story so that it features the characters from The Golden Girls. The major parts will be played by men, and there will be jokes, parody songs, and even a nod to the Covid pandemic. The host explained that the OFC in house bar and food service will be available for anyone who would like some refreshments.
One of the ticketing options that has been made available for the play is a VIP pass. Those who chose this will receive prime seating as well as a Golden Girls parody ornament.
