Rochester plans holiday plant sale

For many people, choosing plants is a step in preparing their home for the holidays, and a Rochester fundraiser will offer a chance to do so while supporting a local museum and science center.

The Rochester Museum and Science Center (RMSC) serves as a location for fun and learning, and it boasts science and nature centers, as well as a planetarium. Its holiday Plant Sale will offer the public a way to support its work, and they can choose poinsettias in a wide variety of colors, as well as cyclamens and Christmas cacti.

Those who would like to get involved will find several different poinsettias color choices available, and the proceeds from the fundraiser will help meet the institution's expenses. Everyone who is interested will be able to place their order ahead of time, and they will be made available for curbside pick-up in early December.

As well as the plants, attendees is welcome to purchase copies of Science on the Rocks! Cooking & Cocktails– An RMSC Council Cookbook, which may be a novel idea for a gift or stocking stuffer. Print shops can prepare an assortment of Corporate Gifts that may be sold as part of a larger fundraising campaign.

The RMSC will soon be accepting orders for this plant sale, and each item will be $18. The pick-up day will be December 2, and they will be available at 657 East Avenue.
