Morpho butterflies are perhaps best known for the bright blue color of their wings, and they usually hail from tropical areas. A Rochester museum will be bringing these heat-loving butterflies north for a special event set for this fall and early winter.
The Strong Museum has organized Morpho Magic, and all ages are encouraged to participate. The function will have a holiday theme, and the butterflies will be flying freely for the duration of the attraction.
During the event, there will be hundreds of bright blue morpho butterflies flying around, and the attendees can snap photos and enjoy watching these delicate creatures fly and land on the decorations placed throughout the butterfly garden. The standard fees to enter the area apply, and the display is being presented in fond memory of Carol. D. Simmons.
The butterfly garden will be welcoming the public to pay the morphos a visit each day that the exhibit is open. A brochure printing company will be able to offer pamphlets for this sort of function that provide more information.
The Strong museum is located at One Manhattan Square in Rochester, and Morpho Magic will be open to visitors from next Monday, November 11, through until January 6, 2020. More information, including details about the admission price for the event, can be found on the Visit Rochester NY website.
