A Rochester venue is set to welcome the public with a schedule of pop-up summer shopping parties in support of the city’s artistic and crafty sides.
The Second Sundays and Stutson Sip and Shop initiative will see makers markets hosted in June, August and October, and they will all be family-friendly with free admission. These functions will also do a good turn for the community, as each will include a mini raffle in support of a local not-for-profit group or cause.
The roster for these events will feature between 1 and 15 area artists, makers and crafters, and the items on offer range from handmade soaps to jewellery, paintings, pottery and even cocktail syrups. It will take place indoors at 36 Stutson Street with a full bar service, and as the Bar Fiore Mobile Flower Trailer will be parked at the venue, the attendees will be able to go home with some fresh floral decor.
Organizing a pop-up market may not always be an easy task, but Print shops will be able to lend a hand. They can provide everything from customized Letterheads to full-size marketing Posters.
The first Ship and Shop has been scheduled for June 13, with later dates on August 15 and October 10. The planners have other activities in the works, and any local small businesses that would like to get involved are asked to visit its website.
