Halloween is on the way for another year, and a Rochester event will show that it’s not only kids who can have fun at this ghoulish time of the year.

A free celebration has been planned for Gates Public Library, and it will be a grown-ups only event. It’s being offered as part of the Libraries After Dark initiative.

When they arrive at this classic-style Halloween party, guests will be invited to participate in an assortment of activities. They can have their face transformed into a spookier look by a make-up artist who will be on site, and there will also be a doughnut eating contest, screening of retro monster horror flicks, an escape room, and even a tarot card reading. Trivia buffs can show off their skills in the contest that has been planned, and there will be lots of other fun on the agenda as well.

The doors will open for this adults-only Halloween party at 9:00 pm, and the festivities will keep right on going until midnight. Themed Banners and other spooky decorations for this type of function can be provided by a local banner printing company.

Gates Public Library will be hosting ‘Monster Ball: A Classic Halloween# on October 27. There is no fee being charged to members of the public who wish to attend.
