Even though they no longer carry a ruck, veterans may still shoulder a heavy load, and a Rochester initiative will raise funds so that no one gets left behind.
The management and staff at Johnny's Irish Pub have reserved a day in mid-November for a special fundraising activity at which 100% of the monies raised will be donated to area causes that help vets. Admission starts at $14.52, including fees and taxes, and there are other attendance options as well.
The function will be putting a variety of local entertainers in the spotlight, and as a variety of genres will be represented, there will be music for almost every taste. The attendees can choose from the venue’s list of beers, ales, stouts, and other beverages, and the festivities will run for 10 hours.
In an effort to both maximize the amount raised and give members of the public a way to choose the ticketing option they are looking for, there are several on offer. Many of these come with T-Shirts that boast a special graphic design prepared just for the occasion, and there is also a ticket that includes a chance to honor a vet by having their name displayed in the function’s marketing materials.
This day planned in support of veterans and their families will kick off at 1:00 pm on November 12. Presale tickets will be available online until November 11.
