Kids who stutter have been offered spots in a Rochester camp that will use a variety of fun activities that encourage them to practice their speech, and it will be based at a local university campus.
York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute at Nazareth University has scheduled a two week day camp series, and the registration fee is $100 per camper. It has been dubbed Camp Rays, and each day will run for four hours.
The campers in the session will be enjoying games and other activities, and it will help them to develop confidence when they communicate verbally. They will have the chance to make lots of new friends, and lunch is included. The participation fee helps to cover the cost of supplies and food, and scholarships are available for any families in financial need.
A day camp gives kids with similar interests a chance to enjoy summer fun together. Staff tee shirts, registration Forms, Letterheads and other custom printed materials can all be sourced from area printed professionals.
