Rochester baseball fans to help advocate for area kids

The Rochester Red Wings baseball team recently announced that it is pleased to have partnered with the Flower City group, raise money to help speak for kids who cannot speak for themselves.

The Society for the Protection and Care of Children and Bivona Advocacy Center will be the charities of choice for an activity that will be taking place at frontier field. One of the reasons the evening will be special is because it will be the last time Milo the Bat Dog makes a public appearance.

Those who attend the game will be helping Milo and the rest of the team raise funds, and they have set a goal of $10, 000 throughout the season. Every time Milo brings the bat back, Flower City group will make a contribution of $50.00. At the end of the game, he will welcome his fans in person, and they may even be able to give him some “well done” pats.

Along with the monies raised through the bat collection challenge, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Milo merchandise will be donated to the cause. Print shops can prepare a variety of Corporate Gifts that may be printed with a graphic design crafted for the occasion.

This chance to show The Red Wings and their canine mascot some love has been planned for the evening of Saturday, September 17. The festivities are scheduled to begin at 6:05 pm
