A celebration of “the fruit of the vine” will see Rochester wine lovers celebrate the harvest season, and those who plan on attending will be part of one of the biggest grape stomping festivals taking place in the Eastern United States.
The schedule for the Purple Foot Festival will be filled with both outdoor and indoor activities, and one of the most popular is the traditional grape stomp. There will also be seminars that will teach some of the secrets of wine making, tasting and pairing selections, and there will be fun for the kids in the crowd as well.
While the crowd enjoys browsing through all that’s on offer, they can take in the live music and other entertainment. The vendor area will provide plenty of retail therapy, and food will be available for purchase. Winery tours, hayrides and cash bars will round out the festivities, and this rain or shine event will run from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.
