Potting and planting experience planned for Rochester
Rochester residents who have been looking for a gentle introduction to home horticulture may want to be sure they are included in a two-day workshop that will help them to get off to a great start.
The learners who participate in the activity will discover how easy it can be to care for a houseplant, and they will even be crafting a pot to put theirs in. When the sessions are complete, each student will have created their own terracotta pot which they have planted with succulents and other greenery, and they will have learned how to offer their pants their best care they can.
One the first day, the registrants will be making their planting bowl, and Ritual Clay Co.’s Sara Kozak will walk the group through the process of completing their project by hand. On day two, the group will be guided by The Botanist’s Shelly Beyler, and she will teach the students basic planting techniques, as well as offer tips for how to give their new green friend a happy life.
These classes are intended for those who are 16 years and up, and all the supplies will be provided. Care sheets for the plants can be given to each attendee in this sort of learning experience, and stationery printers will be able to prepare them.
Registrations are now being accepted for this experience, which will combine potting and planting, and it will be held on June 4 and 18. The venue for the classes will be offered at Rochester Brainery.
