Popular art festival returns to Rochester this summer

The 37th annual Park Ave. Summer Art Fest is taking place for two days this August. This popular festival usual attracts around 250,000 visitors to downtown Rochester.

The juried festival is expected to feature more than 300 artists from 21 states, and some from Canada. All items must be handmade by the artists, and will likely include homemade jewelry, watercolors, photographs, and home decor items.

In addition, a host of live musical acts will be on hand to entertain the crown. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, and shuttles from Monroe Square and Gleason Works will cost $1 per trip.

To keep the kids entertained, there will be a rock climbing wall, bounce houses, and a balloon chase. Also, the Rochester Museum and Science Center will be hosting a number of interactive children's activities, while the YMCA will be presenting free games at Arnold Park.

Artists who are accepted in the show will no doubt want to draw attention to their booths. They may do this by investing in banner printing services from their favorite Rochester printing company.

The Park Ave. Summer Art Fest is taking place between Alexander St and Culver Road in downtown Rochester over the weekend of August 2 to 3, beginning at 10:00 am each day. The official event website has further info.
