The Brighton Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Brighton Community Homecoming Celebration in a couple of weeks in Rochester.
Elmwood and Twelve Corners will be closed to traffic for the afternoon. Local businesses have an opportunity to promote their businesses or to provide food sample in ‘A Taste of Brighton’. The main event, of course, is the Brighton High School Homecoming Parade, which welcomes the new school session.
The chamber will be hosting a street party, which includes a music tent. Businesses that sponsor the parade can also take part in it and let residents know that they support the community.
There will be various sections for business. The "Chamber Court", which features only chamber member businesses, costs $110 for space. Non-members businesses pay $495 to take part in the showcase and food vendors (who are expected to supply samples) pay a lower fee of $185. There are also sponsorships for the parade ($350) and the music tent ($200).
Rochester banner printing companies may be contacted to help design items to be carried in the parade, or used to make some booths stand out from others.
The Brighton Community Homecoming Celebration will be taking place at Twelve Corners on September 19 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. To become a sponsor, or to find out more about the event, call 585-542-8910.
