The Liberty Pole Lighting and Family Fun Day is taking place in Rochester in just a couple of weeks, hosted by The City of Rochester.
The event will start off with Mayor Lovely Warren and Santa Claus lighting the pole. It will be followed by a parade that will travel to MLK Park. Once at the park, there will be lots of family-friendly activities. Local choral groups will be performing, as will Prime Time Brass. Santa and his Elf will be there as well as Rudolph and some of his friends.
There are set to be craft activities and a fireworks display. There will also be free ice skating to the music of DJ Beal’s Rock and Roll Review. In addition, guests can take a free horse-drawn wagon ride or enjoy looking at the fully-decorated 30-foot Christmas tree.
Refreshments and food will be available for purchase. Families from all over Rochester will probably take the time to participate in this holiday event. Organizers may invest in products such as Banners to draw attention to certain activities.
The Liberty Pole Lighting and Family Fun Day will take place in Downtown Rochester on December 3 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm. Admission is free of charge. To learn more about all of the planned activities, contact The City of Rochester at 585-428-5990.
