The 34th annual Alternative Fair is taking place for two days next month in Rochester. It is a fundraising event for Metro Justice.
There are set to be a number of vendors on hand who will be selling fair trade and earth-friendly products for reasonable prices. These products will include clothing, non-electronic games, handmade jewelry, and imported goods from developing countries. Guests will be treated to musical entertainment, be eligible for door prizes, and can purchase food and drinks. Community organizations will also be on hand to provide information about their programs and services. Free childcare will also be available.
Organizers are still looking for vendors to participate in this year's fair and for volunteers to help run it.
Metro Justice is an organization that is dedicated to promoting worldwide social and economic justice. It sponsors the Metro Justice Council and has a number of task forces to study current issues.
Some of the vendors may be working with Rochester postcard printing companies to create large-format Business Cards to hand out to those who stop by their booths. These can provide a picture of a product with contact information printed on the back.
The Alternative Fair will take place at the First Unitarian Church in Rochester from December 11 to 12. Admission is a $5 suggested donation. To find out more, volunteer, or become a vendor, contact Robert Haggard at 585-353-8775.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
