Unique structure nears completion in New Rochelle

The Standard in New Rochelle, a new high-rise building that will help to continue the revitalization in the area, is nearing completion.

The building is 14 stories in height will offer more than 100 rental apartments and close to 4,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. There will be seven two-bedroom units, 92 single-bedroom units, and 13 studio apartments.

A roof deck with space for outdoor cooking, a business center and fitness center, a residential lounge complete with a dining area and full kitchen, and an entertainment center are among the amenities in the building. There will also be an enclosed parking garage and storage for bicycles.

Brochure printing can be used to provide more details about such properties and their amenities.

Constructing the Standard required the repurposing of a Neo-Classical building that stood on that site for many years and once was home to the daily newspaper The Standard Star. The exterior of the building will be primarily white in color with a pattern that varies from thick to thin white-colored panels between the windows. The front elevation will have an overall shape, appearance, and proportions like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, but more human in scale.

Ground was broken on the property in April 2018 and the expected completion date of the building is the end of this year.
