The Wunderkind Award of 914INC. Magazine has been given to Giuseppe D’Aloisio, director of Digital Technology and Learning and professor in the Media and Strategic Communication Department of Iona University in New Rochelle.

His guidance has enabled students from Iona to achieve national recognition, and his mentorship has helped to expand opportunities in digital content creation and broadcasting and foster award-winning student work.

In April, Iona unveiled plans for a state-of-the-art new media center that will bring together its strong television, podcasting, radio, drone, virtual reality, and esports programs into one dynamic, collaborative hub at the heart of campus. The new media center will include production control rooms, a streaming radio station, a podcast studio, and an augmented and virtual reality studio, among other features.
