Two people have been appointed as the executives-in-residence for the new Master of Science in Healthcare Leadership and Innovation degree program at Iona University in New Rochelle. They are Tom Wiffler ’92, CEO of One Pass and former CEO of UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits, and Tom Halloran ’87, CPA, former CEO of Fidelis Care New York.
Halloran and Wiffler will offer guidance to students through virtual office hours and mentorship, support the implementation and development of curriculum, and host in-person residency weekends along with other leaders in the health care industry. They are both distinguished alumni with a great deal of experience as top-level executives who run companies.
The interdisciplinary program is 30 credits and will bring together expertise in innovation, artificial intelligence, business, and healthcare. It is designed for working professionals who want to advance their careers. The curriculum is filled with challenges in the real world and will enable students to gain practical insight through case studies, guest lecturers, and engagement with leading health care organizations.
More details about such programs and their requirements are often made available with flyer printing.
